Starting at a new school is a big step — for children and their families alike. It’s natural for parents to feel a mix of excitement and nervousness, and for children, every new environment is an adventure. At our Educare, we focus on making this transition as smooth, positive, and supportive as possible.

From years of experience, we’ve found that every child settles at their own pace. While some children adjust quickly, others take a little longer to feel comfortable. Small steps, familiar routines, and gentle guidance help children feel confident and secure as they get to know their teachers, classmates, and the learning environment.

Practical tips for parents:

·       Consider gradual introductions when possible: short visits on the first day, then increasing the time each day.

·       Bring a comfort item or favourite toy to help your child feel more at ease.

·       Share your child’s routines, preferences, or any helpful information with teachers — this helps us provide care that feels familiar and supportive.

Our play-based and enquiry-led approach is designed for children from 4 months to 5 years. Babies receive responsive, gentle care, toddlers explore and build independence through play, and older children engage in structured, curiosity-driven activities. By tailoring experiences to each child’s age and personality, we help every child settle smoothly and enjoy their day.

We also believe that parents are part of the journey. Open communication and daily updates mean you can feel confident that your child is supported and happy. Our goal is to make the first days positive and enjoyable, so children leave feeling safe, engaged, and excited to return.

At our Educare, we are here to help your child grow, explore, and thrive, making the start of school a joyful and reassuring experience for the whole family.
